It´s the Christmas season already! Can you believe it? The other day our tea

m went to a mall in Managua to have out visas renewed. As we were leaving the mall to return to a 90 degree, blue sky day with palm trees in the distance, we heard the song ¨It´s Begining to Look Alot Like Christmas.¨ Nicaragua does not look like any Christmas I´ve ever seen before thats for sure.

Everyday for the past week there has been a ¨Procession de La Virgen María.¨(A parade for the Virgin Mary) Thursday the Parade came through our street. The celebration was comparable to the 4th of July, complete with fireworks, cotton candy, candy apples and families and friends celebrating together. A large float of the Virgin Mary surrounded by a band traveled through out the city. It was a fun night and a new kind of celebration for the coming King.
Though the Christmas season is exciting, it means that we are going home soon (December 19th) so our ministries are winding down. Our team is going to an island called Omatepe on the 9th for a week to work at an orphanage. So this week concluded our ESL class, our Childrens Ministry, the trash pick up and our soccer team until we return from Christmas break.  From these ministries we built solid relationships and planted seeds within the hearts of our new friends. Through conversations, songs, dramas and actions we have told the gospel numerous times, now it is up to God to draw their hearts towards Him.
As it is on my heart today, I would like to have the Muse and Meehan families lifted up in prayer today especially. Today is the two year mark from when Dustin and Courtney were taken up to heaven after the tragic car accident.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support. ¡Jesus te ama!
